The Jr. Data Lake Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, securing, and operating of a Hortonworks platform in support of a variety of processing and analytics capabilities. This includes the preparation and execution of automation scripts and procedures; monitoring of the system and resolution of issues; assessment, planning, and execution of architecture changes; providing support to the development, testing, and operations teams; and coordinating with third party system administration and operations teams. The ideal candidate will have an intense curiosity and interest in working with cutting-edge technologies.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant experience. 1 year of general system administration and operations experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with the Hadoop ecosystem or related distributed processing technologies is preferred (ex. (Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapReduce, Hive, HDFS, Ranger, Knox, Ambari, and/or Atlas.) Experience assessing and designing technical architecture changes is preferred. Experience working with DevOps tools, such as Git, Jenkins, and Artifactory, is preferred.

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
