3M is seeking a Software Development Interns for the summer of 2019 for the Health Information Systems Division located in Silver Spring, MD.

An internship is a temporary position within 3M. Interns typically work a full-time schedule throughout a 10-14 week assignment starting in May of 2019.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Be an active member of a scrum team by participating in all phases of SDLC, including design, development and code reviews
Develop software components based on requirements, architecture and design specifications
Work with other software architects, software engineers, quality engineers, and other team members to design and build required systems
Coordinate and communicate with clinical analysts, product analysts, quality analysts, and other software engineers
Adhere to team design and coding procedures and standards
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university
Currently possess a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
Experience developing software using Microsoft Technology stack
Familiarity with Transact-SQL
Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server / ALM
Experience developing WPF applications
Exposure to software development lifecycle
Good communication skills, with the proven ability to present complex ideas and to document technical artifacts in a clear, concise way
Experience with one or more compiled language (C#, Java, C++)
Willingness and ability to push the boundaries of constraints to find creative solutions
Experience working in an Agile environment with a commitment to test automation
Knowledge of test automation frameworks (JUnit, Boost, Selenium)
Knowledge of cloud hosting
