Description We are offering a unique opportunity for a Controller role in the non-profit sector, located in Silver Spring, Maryland, United States. This role will involve a variety of tasks including month-end close, reconciliations, general ledger management, monthly financial statement preparation, variance analysis, and cash management. This is a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct month-end closing activities with precision and efficiency

• Perform reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records

• Manage and maintain the general ledger

• Prepare monthly financial statements for review and analysis

• Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain financial performance discrepancies

• Manage cash flow and oversee cash management strategies

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to manage financial transactions

• Conduct regular auditing activities to ensure compliance and accuracy

• Use Sage Intacct software for efficient financial management

• Prepare and execute Month End Close procedures and Financial Statement Preparation. Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Demonstrated experience in Audit preparation

• Proficiency in using Sage Intacct software for financial management

• Proficiency in GAAP accounting

• Ability to prepare Financial Statements accurately and in a timely manner

• Familiarity with General Ledger management and operations

• Experience in analyzing Monthly Variance and providing detailed reports.
