ManTech Software Developer – Journeyman in Saint Inigoes, Maryland

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Developer Journeyman to join our team in St. Indigoes, MD.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Projects will entail execution of scientific, engineering, and technical services required for the design, development, integration, test, and maintenance of the 29 system and its upgrade, along with other various IFF systems and interfaces. This position offers the opportunity to work on an integrated development team software design and development including all phases of the software development life-cycle. Position is a hybrid of on-site and remote.

  • Analyze technology/capability gaps, research, develop, and deploy software solutions.

  • Work with project leads to define and develop associated deliverables including schedules and WBS.

  • Collaborate with other developers to design and optimize code.

  • Conduct integration, test, bug fixes, and other software maintenance activities

  • Assist in the creation of technical documentation and user guides in support of developed software.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field

  • 3-10 years of experience in software development

  • Applied experience programming in a Linux environment.

  • Applied experience with C/C++, and Java

  • Must have a secret clearance to start.

Preferred experience:

  • Candidates should be self-motivated and detail-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Experience using Wireshark.

  • Experience using Eclipse IDE for Development.

  • Experience using SVN for source code configuration management.

  • Experience managing small projects and drafting associated planning documentation such as schedules and WBS.

  • Experience with personnel management, preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
