Insight Global Secret Network Administrator in Linthicum Heights, Maryland

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Senior Network Administrator to support their team out of Linthicum, MD. As a network administrator, your day starts by ensuring the smooth operation of our classified network. You will maintain technical expertise in various areas, including routers, multiplexers, firewalls, switches, and gateways. Throughout the day, you will plan, design, configure, and install network hardware based on customer requirements. You will propose solutions to optimize cost savings while meeting future communication needs. Additionally, this person will create and maintain network documentation, perform regular monitoring and analysis, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and provide third-level support. Implementing and troubleshooting LAN technologies, such as VLANs, Trunking, Spanning-Tree, and Port Security, are also part of your responsibilities. This person will also design and implement enterprise networks to ensure efficient connectivity. This opportunity is paying between $115K-$173K depending on experience.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree and 9 years of experience in network administration

 Active secret or top-secret security clearance

 IAM Level 1 certification

 Experience working across large enterprise environments, both local and national

 Experience designing and maintaining LAN & WAN based networks

 Understanding of network tools such as Wireshark, Nessus, SolarWinds, or Splunk

 Experience working with Cisco hardware and setting up switched networks Experience using Palo Alto and Juniper for security

 Experience using CryptoGear in a classified environment

 Understanding connections in the cloud provider null
