Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission and customer-oriented Tactical Aviation Subject Matter Expert to join our team in the Patuxent River, MD area.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assimilate tactical aircraft and provided mission planning system updates and assist with integration and speed to fleet training initiatives.

  • Assist with training development.

  • Prepare documentation for training delivery at fleet concentration areas and warfare centers of excellence.

  • Provide briefings on system capabilities and procedures to program office, fleet operators, and testers in support of operational and program milestone events.

  • Training products include courseware, briefings, manuals, and checklists using MS Office software tools.* Assist with operational and tactical manual updates.

  • Oversee multiple technical teams for completion dates and product quality.

  • Plan, monitor and manage projects from initiation through completion.

  • Lead or coordinate project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management.

  • Track and approve project team hours and travel.

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve the effectiveness of training projects.* Supervise project team and provide leadership and administrative guidance.

  • Travel and support meetings onsite at various fleet concentration areas.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree

  • Minimum 12 years’ experience as either an F/A-18A-F, EA-18G, E-2C/D pilot or Naval Flight Officer/ Weapon System Officer.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NATOPS Manager experience.

  • Graduate of Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN) or Marine Aviation Weapons Training Squadron-1 (MAWTS-1) Weapons Tactics Instructor (WTI)

  • Weapons Tactics Instructor experience.

Clearance Requirement:

  • Must have a Top Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $143,600-$239,300. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
