Position Summary Information
General Summary
TheTelecom Support/EE student internto assist telecom support team members in providing technical assistance with the daily operations of the organization’smicrowave network, SCADA network and mobile radio network.
Essential Functions
· Operate and repair WSSC Water’s microwave, SCADA and mobile radio systems
· Install, repair, and maintain base stations, antennae, radio, and electronic equipment in or on all types of vehicles and structures
· Perform radio frequency compliance checks as required by the FCC
Other Functions
Perform other duties as required.
Work Environment And Physical Demands
Work in business casual office and field settings.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Coursework in electronics, radio communications, power systems designs
Minimum Education, Experience Requirements
Completion of 2+years of college majoring in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
Additional Requirements
Proficient in using MS Office Suite applications
Preferences
Some experience with electronics and radio communications is helpful.
