Retail Clerk

Salary: $15.00 / hourly

Job Type:  Part Time

Location: Hooks and Hangers Store - La Plata

Responsibilities and Duties

We have part time retail processor clerk positions available for dependable, punctual, and resourceful people to work in our resale, retail stores.

  • Maintain customer relations and report complaints to the Retail Manager immediately.

  • Maintain communication with the Retail Manager on any/all issues concerning store.   

  • Communicate ideas for sales or improvements in the store or operations of the store to the Retail Manager.

  • Keep stock room appearance neat and orderly.

  • Report maintenance problems to the Retail Manager.

  • Perform duties as assigned such as:  sorting, hanging, pricing of donations, removing trash, sweeping and general cleaning.

  • Ensure the stock room is cleaned and organized at the end of every shift to include sweeping, trash removal and etc.

  • Ensure all donations are immediately removed from the front of the store, to include the sidewalk, and moved to the rear of the store for processing.

  • Ensure donation bins in the rear of store are emptied in a timely manner.

  • Ensure the rear of the building is free of debris and trash at all times.

  • Able to perform assigned custodial tasks on a daily basis.

  • Recycle clothing and other assorted items as needed.

  • Able to lift 50 lbs. 

  • Ability to sort 20 bags of clothing per hour or

  • Ability to sort 20 boxes/bags of hard items per hour.

  • Must be able to work Saturdays (some exceptions made).

  • Consistent demonstration of professionalism.

  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the position.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.

  • Strong retail experience.
