What you get to do every single day

Payroll:

• Entering and verifying employee data, such as hours worked, bonuses, deductions and reimbursements.

• Processing payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Payroll tax liability processing and payment and tax reporting- Monthly; Quarterly; Year-end.

• Reviewing and reconciling payroll reports to ensure accuracy of payments and deductions.

• Stay current with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant statutes and requirements.

• Provide support and guidance to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries, discrepancies, and concerns.

• Prepare and distribute various payroll-related reports to management as needed.

• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 and 1099 processing and reconciliation.

Accounting:

• Deposit of customer checks via scanner and processing of payments in Quickbooks.

• Weekly processing of accounts payable checks.

• Analysis and reconciliation of various balance sheet and expense accounts as assigned

• Journal Entry processing

• Fixed Asset control and reporting

• Basic compliance reporting as assigned

• Management reporting as needed to support the business

• Participate in audits and assist with providing documentation and information as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.

• Minimum of 2 years experience working in payroll.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Quickbooks or other large ERP system experience.

• Knowledgeable in construction project management a plus but not a requirement.
