We are seeking a highly organized and detail-orientedAdministrative SupportSpecialist to join our team to provide essential administrative support onsite for our customer located inCamp Springs, MD
JobSummary:
The Administrative Support Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation for our customer by providing comprehensive administrative assistance. This position requires a proactive and multitasking individual with proficiency in T&A systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain shared USCIS email boxes and will, retrieve and determine if further action is required on emails and forward to appropriate personnel.
Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions as needed to perform program-related activities and other work task.
Perform general administrative functions in support of program office day-to-day operations including front desk coverage which includes receiving visitors, answering telephones and distributing mail.
Maintain a computer filing system to store, retrieve, update, and delete work products and file and store completed work products on computer hard drive and paper files if necessary.
Assist with time and attendance (T&A) in the current T&A system. Contract employees will serve in the Timekeeper Role and will be responsible for the following functions for employees assigned to them:
Adding new employees to the T&A system.
Assigning accounting codes for employee use
Conducting searches of employee records in the T&A system.
Enters, edits, and validates T&A data on behalf of assigned employees.
Reviews previously certified T&A data.
Manages an employee's profile.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must pass a thorough federal background investigation.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2-to-5 years of experience in administrative support roles.
Proficiency in T&A systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Multitasking ability and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
