BAE Systems Electrical Engineer II (Navy Communication Systems) in California, Maryland

Job Description

The selected applicant will apply knowledge of and experience with engineering principles and techniques to develop and resolve moderately complex technical issues associated with USN communications systems & networks including software defined transceivers and amplification devices.

The applicant will create and analyze moderately complex engineering documentation and work with new and existing equipment currently deployed aboard US Navy ships.

This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics discipline and 2 years of related experience

Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance

Understanding of communications theory of operation

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work well in a team environment or independently

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

USN surface compartment and amphibious assault operational experience

Microsoft Office experience

Ability to be self-motivated

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $73370 - $124740

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
