Pay: $55-60/hr W2 Range

Responsibilities:

Our client is seeking a skilled and meticulous Quality Assurance Enginner and Senior IV&V Tester (Independent Verification and Validation Tester) to join one of our projects. As an IV&V Tester, you will be responsible for independently verifying and validating software systems to ensure they meet quality standards, functional requirements, and regulatory compliance. Your primary focus will be on identifying defects, vulnerabilities, and inconsistencies in software products, while also ensuring adherence to established protocols and industry best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identification of manual and automated test suites.

  • Create analysis report on which test cases can be automated.

  • Perform thorough verification and validation of software systems, including requirements analysis, test planning, test execution, and defect tracking.

  • Develop comprehensive test cases and test scenarios based on functional specifications, user stories, and system architecture.

  • Execute test cases across various environments, platforms, and configurations to assess software performance, reliability, and security.

  • Document test results, defects, and findings in detailed reports, and communicate effectively with stakeholders, including developers, project managers, and clients.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, improve test processes, and enhance overall software quality.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to software testing and quality assurance.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies, tools, and techniques within the organization.

  • Finding bugs and errors in computer programs or software systems.

  • Performing unit, regression, and load testing.

  • Maintaining a software fix schedule.

  • Detecting, logging, and reporting program bugs and glitches.

  • Reviewing test procedures and developing test scripts.

  • Maintenance of the relevant documentation, such as test plan and test procedures

  • Execution of the relevant test procedures and consolidation of the test results and generation of test reports

  • Maintain the schedule for the test activities

    Qualifications:

    Education and Years of Experience: 5 years

    Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.

  • Proven experience in software testing, quality assurance, or related role, with a focus on independent verification and validation.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and quality assurance principles.

  • Proficiency in test case design, test execution, defect management, and test automation tools.

  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven experience in the verification and validation of large complex systems

  • Hands-on experience with the preparation of test documentation (test plans, specifications, procedures and reports)

  • Experience in other areas of IV&V, such as System Validation Tests

  • Proven experience with definition and development of test tools and generation of test data sets

  • System requirements management and functional/architectural modelling, with support of tools

    Additional Requirements:

  • University degree in engineering, physics or equivalent

  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills and flexibility

  • Be able to work autonomously and to plan his/her work, considering tight schedules and multiple tasks

  • Strength in analysis and pragmatic judgement are required

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

  • Min Citizenship Status Required: US Citizen
