Job Summary

The HR Manager works on the HQ HR Services Program Services team, providing primary HR services to the associates and HR Partners within the business disciplines at headquarters. The HR Manager role serves as an integral liaison to HR COE’s, Marriott Business Services, mHUB, and ATLAS HQ Support teams and Alight processing teams. The HR Manager partners closely with the Associate Relations team on key processes, such as resignation and separation processes. This position serves as a key resource in performing general data analysis, running and evaluating reports, and providing a high level of customer service in a timely and professional manner in response to manager and associate inquiries and requests.

Responsibilities

  • Respond timely and accurately to questions from HR partners, managers and associates on company policies, procedures, and processes.

  • Identify issues and provides proactive recommendations for execution/implementation. Understand when to escalate issues and ensure confidentiality and compliance with human resources policies and regulations.

  • Requires knowledge of HR Management Systems (e.g., Oracle HRIS) with ability to quickly become proficient in mHUB, Mosaic, and ATLAS (HQ & Above Property Payroll system) to assist managers in processing transactions and to partner with HR Partners on researching and correcting associate data changes (when required) submitted to Alight for processing.

  • Manage centralized separation processes and all related associate and manager communications.

  • Perform with a high degree of autonomy when managing requirements of the position which include researching, correcting, and validating associate data changes and impacts (taxes, overpayments, repayments, etc.), and interacting with associates and managers at all levels in the organization to provide explanations and ensure compliance in all aspects of associate data management.

  • Must be knowledgeable of all Information Protection polices and protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and protect accordingly. Required to maintain the highest level of confidentiality of associate and other company-related data management.

  • Partner and participate in process improvement by actively engaging with HR COE’s and HR Outsource partners (Accenture and Alight) to identify concerns and notable trends and recommend solutions, changes, and enhancements by providing expertise and assisting in the implementation.

  • Work collaboratively with HR Services team to ensure consistency of deliverables where applicable and have a keen eye and focus to enhance services through technology whenever possible.

  • Assist, train, and participate in onboarding process of co-workers and team members on processes and procedures as needed.

Candidate Profile

Required:

  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience and a Bachelor’s degree in related fields.

  • Strong organization skill, ability to handle a multitude of assignments with minimal supervision.

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure while delivering high quality service in a timely and professional manner.

  • Ability to critique own behavior to acknowledge mistakes and improve future leadership performance and acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Comfortable with interfacing and communicating across all levels of the workforce, entry level to senior management.

  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships internally and externally.

  • Proficiency using standard software applications and advanced knowledge in Microsoft tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, as well as working knowledge of our HRIS system (e.g., Oracle) and reporting.

  • Excellent time management, analytical and data accuracy skills.

Preferred:

  • Specific Marriott HR COE experience, business, discipline, or field operations beneficial
