This position is in the Project Management Office of a Data Center Operation team. The Project Manager will coordinate projects for the Data Center customers.
Working independently within assigned areas to proactively identify and complete all work assignments high standard of quality.
Working collaboratively with all necessary internal/external parties to assist in defining and achieving project objectives with a high degree of both internal and external customer satisfaction.
Following established documented processes for managing IT infrastructure and Virtual Machine requests for both internal and external customers.
Assuring timely and fact-based feedback to customer questions and issues: documenting and communicating any deficiencies/risks that would preclude us from meeting objectives, schedules, or customer satisfaction.
Timely resolution and follow up on all tasks and requests received via multiple request queues, emails, and phone calls.
Organizing planning/engineering meetings as necessary to facilitate communication between teams necessary for issue resolution.
Writing summary reports in a clear and concise manner.
Ensure customers are proactively kept up to date on the status of their requests.
Ensure all communications are accurate, clear, and professional.
Collaboratively work with other internal groups (Configuration Management, Asset Management, Tier 2 and 3 support and engineering) to ensure customers get the best service possible.
Proactively work with the PMO Manager to improve processes and documentation and to facilitate teamwork and comradery.
Mentoring and training of peers on existing processes.
Required: 2+ years of Project Management experience in an IT infrastructure environment.
Required: Strong attention to detail and attention to quality is required.
Required: Must be customer service-oriented.
Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills.
Required: ITILv3 Foundation Certification
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree from 4-year College or university. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for meeting the minimum requirements.
