We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with experience in food manufacturing to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a solid mechanical aptitude, electrical troubleshooting skills, and a proven track record of maintaining and repairing equipment in a food production environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity for career growth and to contribute to the success of operations by ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our client's manufacturing equipment.
salary: $27.5 - $33 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: No Degree Required
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspection, lubrication, and calibration of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems used in food production equipment, such as mixers, conveyors, ovens, and packaging machines.
Conduct preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and resolve issues in a timely manner to minimize production disruptions.
Collaborate with production supervisors and operators to understand equipment requirements and prioritize maintenance tasks based on production schedules.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare parts inventory to support efficient maintenance planning and budgeting.
Adhere to safety protocols and follow established procedures for lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and other safety measures to ensure a safe working environment.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and productivity.
Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems and reading schematics and technical manuals
Experience with Multivac systems,Loma metal detectors ,Ishida scales and Pavan pasta machines is preferred but not a requirement
The essential functions of this role include:
