Johns Hopkins University Laboratory Technician in Baltimore, Maryland

The Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Laboratory Technician within the IAM Lab, a multidisciplinary research-to-practice initiative from the Pedersen Brain Science Institute at Johns Hopkins University. The mission is to advance the field of arts, health, and well-being.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conducting and catalyzing high-impact, interdisciplinary, translational research.

  • Synthesizing and amplifying existing research and best practices from the clinic to the community.

  • Developing practical, effective resources and learning tools to support the field.

  • Providing the institutional home at Hopkins for research/practice at intersections of arts and health.

  • Assist with general research toward Lab products, deliverables (May include literature reviews, drafting reports, contacting study subjects, conducting interviews, etc.)

  • Data analysis, including statistical analyses and/or coding for qualitative studies.

  • Write/edit materials for publishing.

  • Meeting minutes (take notes during meetings/events).

  • Upload and organize files, paperwork, etc. on Shared Drive.

  • Assist with IRB applications and project documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or graduation equivalent with some science coursework.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate from technical institute or internship experience.

  • Training Certificate from Technical Institute.

Classified Title: Laboratory Technician

Role/Level/Range: ACRO40/E/02/CB

Starting Salary Range: $15.25 - $23.00 HRLY (Commensurate with experience)

Employee group: Part-time

Schedule: 20 hours per week, M-F

Exempt Status: Non-Exempt
