We are seeking a Software Integration Engineer III who shall be responsible for integrating software Tools and Services in support of the Altassian tool suite. The team supports the development of tools and services that increase the efficiency of software development and sustainment efforts across large Linux computing environments. The Software Integration Engineer III must have effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, end-users, and stakeholders.
Position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance.
Position Required Qualifications:
- Experience using the Linux CLI to perform basic file system operations and package management
- Experience writing Bash/Python/Groovy scripts to automate administrative tasks and workflows
- Experience using the Atlassian plugin software developer kit (SDK), to create and extend Atlassian applications such as Jira, Service Desk, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo
- Experience creating documentation of configurations, procedures, and system changes
- Experience with monitoring and log management tools to track system and application performance, troubleshoot issues, and identify potential problems in a Linux environment.
- Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) concepts, principles and automation tools such as Ansible and SaltStack
- Experience with interacting and training external customers
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment OR the individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience OR an industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TTOs, may substitute as one (1) year experience. A Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field may substitute for two (2) years' experience.
Position Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working in a team environment that uses Agile principles and methodologies
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and their integration with Atlassian Bitbucket
- Proficiency managing and optimizing SQL databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL
- Experience implementing security best practices, including user access control, SSL/TLS encryption, and regular software updates
