SURVICE Engineering Software Engineer - Smart Munitions in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland

SURVICE is currently seeking aSoftware Engineerto work closely with Government personnel at the Army Research Laboratory and be responsible for designing and implementing smart munitions technologies for the Army. Will interact with mathematicians, aerospace engineers, control systems engineers, and physicists, to implement new high-performance algorithms.
Work will be performed at the Army Research Laboratory, located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Minimal travel will be required.
Primary knowledge, skills, and abilities we are looking for:
- Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
- Solid programming experience in C/ C++
- Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems
- Excellent knowledge of Operating System coding techniques, protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems
- Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components
- Understanding and implementation of algorithms in (Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) to include Verilog/VHDL (VHSIC Hardware Description Language) would be a plus.
Education and Experience:
BS Computer Science or Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience. Or a Masters Computer Science or Engineering and 0 year of relevant.
Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain a DoD clearance. U.S. citizenship is required in order to obtain this clearance. Current clearance is desired.
